Talking NEW PB but only on an 1/8th mile track

Best 3 of 6

1.76 60'
7.66 @ 93.23 1/8th mile

1.79 60'
7.84 @91.69 1/8th mile

1.89 60'
7.78 @ 92.67 1/8th mile (WITH A PASSENGER, hehe a PREGERS Passenger no less)

Got some video I will load later.

It was a fantastic day. We had a SPECIAL TRACK DAY. The track openned just for us to celebrate a track day in Shawn "SALADBAR" Salazar's honor (One of our Trailblazer SS homies that has graduated to HOT ROD HEAVEN DRAG RACING!). It was a wonderful experience to hangout and see Shawn's TBSS crack off some remarkable times. Most everyone was at their PB's or better. Great day. Too bad it was just an 1/8th mile track but great times nontheless, on and off the track.

As a side note. These short times are with PFADT's sway bars and lowering springs. I'm getting better at launching the car. I took a HUGE hit in my short times after installing the bars and springs. Still used the drag rads and the front sway was connected. I plan to remove the end links the next time out to see if a little more weight transfer will allow for a little better short times.

I am fuggin STOKED with the short times. This car is the very first manual shift sports car I have ever owned. My launching is progressing NICELY. With much thanks and credit to Sam (Sam88gta1) and Brian (OrangeChevyII). When these boys post about how to launch these cars LISTEN. If I can have these results with their techniques ANYONE CAN!

Very cool...

Nice 60's too. Hooked on the drags. Gotta love that adrenaline rush !!!

Glad you had so much fun. That's what it's all about. And with those 1/8 mile times, you basically just broke into the 11's in the 1/4. Nice.

Video Added......

I was gonna sand bag at the light and drive around my homie. He was driving our friends truck that we recently lost. Had we been on the 1/4 mile track the plan would have been perfect but on the short track it was a no go. He ran that time with him and 3 passengers in the truck. Saladbar's dad was in the passenger seat during this race. Just awesome. It was fantastic to be around all those that loved Shawn so much and seeing his truck ripping up the track was awesome. There are several here that knew Shawn. Great times to celebrate a great life lived.

The second video is with one of our TBSSOwners board moderators that knew Shawn very well in my passenger seat. She was dying to make a RIDE ALONG pass and wanted to cruise in the Maro. She and her hubby are both our global mods on the TBSS board. Great people that drove from Kansas City to celebrate our Homies life.

RIP Shawn "Saladbar" Salazar
