Muffler delete need tune?

I’m getting a tune Friday but won’t be able to get muffler deletes until Saturday. If I got a tune then got muffler deletes would it interfere with the tune or would it not make any difference to anything just sound? Thanks.

I think you'll be fine. With LTH/no cats and muffler delete, while it might sound good, it's gonna be loud..

I agree with GWP. The muffler delete will only make it louder... it won't impact the tune. It would be similar to running electric cutouts but without the sound adjustability. There are lots of videos on youtube that show dyno runs and tunes with cutouts open and closed and the tune is not impacted... for that matter, the hp and torque usually don't change either.

But like GWP said... it's going to be loud. If you do the muffler delete, I recommend clamping them on so you can put the mufflers back on if it is too much to handle on a daily basis. I run electric cutouts for that very reason. I love a loud V8 with LTs, offroad pipes and nasty cam, but sometimes you need to quiet it down for the neighborhood!
