20 Corvette Run Flats to non run Flats

I know this a Camaro forum but i;m sure some of you my have experience with this. I want to remove the run flat Michelins as they are about worn out and replace them with regular tires. Does anyone have any experience doing this? Does the computer need to be reprogramed? Will it work? Just had a tire go flat out on the road and it had to be towed home anyway. Car refused to move after a few miles driving on the flat run flat tire! Never seen and heard so many lights and warnings in one car. Finally if I tried putting in drive it would go right back to park on its own. Figure why pay all the extra for run flats when it didn't let me drive home with a flat anyway.

I have had alot of corvettes. Currently drive gen 5 ss and 12 vette. Both have non-run flats. When you switch it will improve the ride quality. The side walls on run flats aretoo stiff. The tire will be able to join the party and help your suspension. Much improvement never kept the run flats on the cars never regretted the switch. Good move !!!

I have a Corvette & Camaro also without run-flats. The only thing I did was renew my AAA membership.

When I had a C5 I ditched the runflats almost immediately. Better ride, better tires, less tire noise... Never had an issue
