2015 Camaro SS - P0521 Code

Ok so a little backstory.. engine was just freshly rebuilt with everything replaced except the crank. Using Driven R30 break in oil. Oil is full, not throwing any other codes. New oil pump, pickup tube, and all related gaskets/seals.

P0521 - Engine Oil Pressure Sensor Performance Code

Took the car out, drove for about 15 minutes. CEL would flash for a few seconds and go off, drive another 5 minutes same thing, repeat every 5 minutes.

Replaced the oil pressure sensor with the AC Delco sensor.

Plug was stretched around the wrong way, putting pressure on the wires. Replaced the plug. Tested the plug. Getting 5v on the signal wire, 0.5 Ohm resistance on the ground.

Thinking maybe there is a break in one of the wires throwing a code.

Thoughts?

Would it not be easier to just run two new wires from the start of the harness for that plug specifically? Ground seems good.
