I’m astounded by the people on this forum…

..who have posted more information than I can fathom.

I could probably build a 5th Gen Camaro from the scraps of stuff laying in piles behind my shop with the sheer volume of useful information on here.

You have to work a little to search and find some stuff but I while was looking for one thing I found a crap load of other information to keep ya reading for quite a while. It was quite distracting to be honest..looking for blend doors info and wind up reading a 3000 post thread on how to make your engine bay look better.

Cheers to you all.

Car forums have the knowledge that people are forgetting about because of social media. I’ve been on here since 2009 and I’ve been on LS1tech since 2005, both are great sites with amazing information.

You can't do that on Facebook that's for sure.

The databases here on C5 and C6 are massive which is one reason the software isn't upgraded to a newer version.

100%. There is a weatlh of information here deeper than any other source. Start looking at the wiki oriented info, search whatever you want, etcetera. Far better than FB crap or similar.

Yep, this forum is a wealth of info on the 5th and 6th gen Camaros! When I first joined back in 2011 when I purchased my Camaro, I got answers to my concerns on here that my tech's at the dealership DIDN'T know about. And the rest is history 14 years later, it's all still around, and a TON more info. Not to mention I have been able to share stuff that I know, learned to everyone else asking, like you sir!! Soak it all in before it's ever gone!!

I've definitely spent WAY more money than I ever intended on my car because of information I've learned and products I've seen here. Yeah, you'll see some stuff on Facebook, but more often than not it's people complaining. The moderators here have kept the forums clean and the members have had high respect for each other as an overall. There have definitely been some "interesting" characters over the years, but you don't get a better source of information than Camaro5/6!

Sometimes, the icing on the cake is when a, Scott Settlemire, or even an active GM tech, imparts his/her knowledge here too. I guess for obvious reasons, GM (Chevy) doesn't just willy nilly, divulge a lot of inside information.

Camaro5 is the reason I can't take social media "Camaro Groups" seriously. They'll never have the knowledge base and experience of this place. It's why I'm still here since before I bought my car in 2010.

The only drawback to this site is I spend ALOT more money with upgrades .I probably wouldn’t know about 90 percent if it wasn’t for this site!! Thanks for all the knowledge!

Agreed - Camaro5 is an incredible wealth of information. I'm grateful for the folks that take the time to share highly technical and detailed information. Social media does have some of these nuggets, but they are much more decentralized, difficult to find, and buried in a myriad of junk. This place is awesome!

And it's because of guys like YOU Andrew, that "work" in the performance business, and on their Camaro's who spend time on here sharing YOUR expertise and knowledge with the family. Very much appreciated. I've learned a ton from you about these Camaro's!! Thank you sir!

Perhaps my searching skills are not up to par. Maybe you can assist.

I could really use a step-by-step on the removal of an electric power steering rack. As in a step-by-step with pics of someone actually doing the job.
