Yellow Shifter Boot - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Got a custom-made shifter boot installed last night. Sorry for not taking pix while I put it back together, but here's the finished product.

The old one was easy to remove. There are simple friction fittings it just stuffs down into. But for some reason, the new one would NOT hold in those fittings. I tried dozens of times, but ended up having to punch holes in the boot at each of the fittings and threading a cable to hold it in. The bottom of the new boot was hemmed just like the old one. The new vinyl was a little thicker than the OEM, which seemed like it would hold better.

The vinyl was a *tiny* bit lighter than the leather in the seats (near perfect match to the paint), but real life doesn't seem to show up near as much as in the photos.

Yep the interiors is more like Steelers gold, the boot is more sun yellow.
