Electronic Boost Controllers

Anyone running an electronic boost controller with their turbos? I've only heard of turbosmart company. Any suggestions? I prefer more of this style than the circular gauge with the 3 buttons.

For a low cost but affective boost controller I like the AEM Trueboost gauge.

It is a Gauge and a boost controller in 1 unit.

It allows 3 different boost settings, Wastegate, A and B setting of your choice.

You can control ramp rates and a whole host of other features.

I keep them in the store, they sell like hot cakes.

Ted.

I run one, and it performs very well.

The AMS 1000 is considered the gold standard for high performance turbo applications. They are also just about to release an AMS 2000. We'll have to see if that is a true next generation controller.

don't they do a AMS500? I run a HKS EVC EZ on my GN...it's super rock solid. AEM True Boost or the Turbo smart is nice.

Not a 5th gen, but look at this video at 4:42 - 5:04 for a super clean installation.

I use the Ams 1000 in my 10.5 car. Works great. Very consitant and easy to change in the staging lanes if needed. MSD makes a nice one as well. Easier to see your boost curve but requires a laptop to change.

How would the AEM Trueboost compare to the Turbosmart e-Boost2?

I would have to agree the Turbosmart is a Higher quality piece but is also reflected in the price.

I carry Turbosmart and AMS-1000 also.

I had an AMS-1000 in my Lightning. Best boost controller I've ever used.
