Known production numbers for the 2010/2011 SS? - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Can anyone advise on what the actual production number of 2010 SS camaro's will end up being? (local dealer sts. only 4700 SS's for 2010) have heard conflicting reports as to what G.M. will realy produce and why, also can anyone advise as to what might be the production number in 2011 for the SS and or the Z28? Thank's for any valued information.

uh right now the ss's are in the 10's of thousands concerning production numbers. its hard to say in 2011 due to demand. tell your dealer hes an idiot

its a sales gimmick, my dealer told me they where only making 14,000 camaros total even thought they were at 20,000 made at the time. i just ignored him. just like when i bought my 2000 z the sales guy told me the it had 400hp. lol

It's just a sales ploy. Had a local dealer here tell me they were only making 20,000 this year, funny thing was the one he had on the floor was in the 28k's for VIN number. At least make sure you don't shoot yourself in the foot immediately upon spewing the BS you are throwing out. They currently are in the 43k's for VIN numbers and have heard rumors that SS's are like 75% or so of that total.

Thanks so much guy's for the info, this makes me feel alot better as I have to unfortunetly wait until this time next year or so. I dont want to sound like I am whinning I know things could be a lot worse for me but none the less it is going to be a long depressing wait for the next 12-18 month's before I can get either a new or used 2010 SS. Thanks again for the info.

I hear you, the wait is depressing, but things could be worse. Sometimes it doesn't seem like it though. Try and be patient!

No news on the Z/28 yet..... trust me I bug everyone about it!

Here is the official numbers as of Aug...

Production Stats:
Camaros produced in August 09: 10,682
Total Camaros produced to date (since March 16, 2009): 43,373

Delivery (sales) Stats:
Camaro August Deliveries (sales): 8,680
Total April - August Deliveries: 31,190
