Oracle rear LED Bowtie illegal for street use?

I purchased my Camaro with a rear Blue LED Bowtie installed. I rarely use it if never. What are the laws down here in Florida for those who have them installed? Can they be turned on for street use or is it illegal? Just curious since I may want to start using it since its cool looking and I want to make use of them without getting a ticket.

It's not legal, but I doubt many cops would care to bother you about it. The only colors that would be legal is red or amber. I would probably have it on most of the time.

Thanks for the responses. Good to know but still hesitant since paying for a ticket is never a good feeling. Might change my mind eventually. Will see.

Red is illegal only non emergency vehicle colors are legal such as green

I have mine in green and have it wired to come on with my brake lights. Had it for over a year and haven't had any trouble at all

So I ordered a red one yesterday that is dual mode for parking lights and brighter for brake lights from Phastek. I'm using it to replace the burned out LED 3rd brake light. So I'm assuming the plastic facia will be red just like the light. If so, I will carbon fiber decal it before installing.

One question, do you think it would fit okay if I moved it up higher towards the trunk lid instead of leaving it centered like factory? I want it to appear more like a 3rd brake light which is normally higher than the standard brake lights.

With a blue light a cop looking for a reason to pull you over could. If it was red I'd think they'd have a harder time pulling you over, especially if it had the dual intensity modes then it could be argued as an additional brake light. Good luck, it looks good!

So the light arrived today. Looks like there is just enough room to mount it higher, and I might be able to hide the wires under the spoiler instead of drilling a hole. Will CF wrap it first.
