COOL STUFF!!

Hey guys and gals, just wanted to share this with you all. One of the perks of living on the east coast of Florida about 50 miles south of the Kennedy Space Center. When the launch all these starlink rockets they fly SE over my house. I can stand out in the front yard and watch them go up, about 5 seconds after lift off they come up over the trees and when the sky is clear, an awesome sight. Last Thursday night they launched a Falcon Heavy with the orbital space plane on board and what a sight to see!! On these "heavy" rockets they land the 2 booster rockets back here at the space center, and when they land, you can hear the double sonic booms, which you can hear at the video's end. This video was posted on the internet by USLaunch report, and is basically what I see from my front yard 50 miles away. Enjoy, I sure did, twice!!

I’ll bet that is really neat to see in person. Brings back memories of watching Apollo 8 lifting off back in December of ‘69. The family was heading south to Miami for my Grandparents 50th wedding anniversary. We timed it so we could watch the launch. It was really awesome to see. I bet these big rockets are really impressive.

Yes sir, they are quite the sight to see!! Especially these Falcon "heavy" rockets. You can actually see the rocket as it goes up it's so big!!They make a ton of noise going up, even from where I see them in my front yard!! The Star Link rockets are almost as loud, but not quite, they still make a racket though. Back when they used to launch and land the Space Shuttles from here, got to see them lift off too, and when they landed back here at the space center, sometimes you could see them come in when they landed it from the east, you could also hear the sonic boom from them as well when the came back here. The coolest thing about them was when they landed them in Cali and flew them back here "piggy backed" on the USAF 747 jumbo jet!! To see and watch that huge jet with the shuttle attached to it's back fly right over your head kinda slowly and head up the coast to the space center was a treat for us all!! We would be at the beach to watch it.

Ya'll are welcome. It's pretty cool to watch for sure! On a down note on being able to watch all this from my front yard, I watched the shuttle Challenger disaster happen back then, when it exploded on it's way up. Was a total heart breaker to see that happen with my own eyes!! That image will forever be etched in my mind.

I’ve seen the space X satellites from my house in the south western skies a few times. I’m not gonna lie the first time I saw them I thought Oh Shi$ some one is getting ready to bomb the hell out of us, or we are getting ready to totally decimate Russia or someone in that side of the world lol. I did some googling and figured it out pretty quick. The way they all pretty much fly in a straight line over the skyline is pretty neat to see.
