If there really is a boss in the makings, I would bet on it being a 2012 model and a big upgrade of the gt500 coming with it. They can't make the GT much faster without threatening gt500 sales. Maybe they'll just make the current supersnake the base gt500?

Looks like the Parnelli Jones Mustang from a few years back. If they do a Boss they need a different color. Maybe they could get Chip Foose or Steve Saleen to do some designs for them.

I'd be interested, depending upon price. Maybe 450hp N/A 5.0, some lightening, stiff road race suspension - that'd be cool.

Wish Chevy would do THAT with the Z/28, rather than some gaudy, 4000lb S/C pig that is the antithesis of Z/28.

+1 a mid HP level light weight car is more fun than a heavy but fast pig. I drove my friends supercharged 2002 Mustang GT and although it was still slower than my car, it felt more tossable and would probably be more fun to drive on a daily basis.

I'd love to have the Boss when it comes out. Over on the Mustang forums, it has been comfirmed that the Boss is coming back as the 302. I wouldn't doubt that it would be a package that you can get for the GT or something.

And if they make the Super Snake the base GT500 package....I'm not sure that would work because it is so much more expensive compared to the current more affordable GT500.

I'm also waiting for the super snake Ford F-150 to come out, that would be sweet.

Also, oldlugs, I would love to see pictures of your cars.

You do understand that Ford does not offer a SuperSnake package, right? Shelby American does that. It would be impossible for Ford to make the SuperSnake the base GT500 or to build a SuperSnake F150.

you got to admit even though base mustangs may not be all that great.. some of the tuner packages are amazing
