New member, first post!
Hey guys and gals. I'm Joe, the newest addition to the club. On July 31st, I took home my first Chevy, a 2010 IOM 2LT RS, and I'm lovin every minute of it! I went from a 2006 Chrysler 300 base model, but very modified. The Camaro was definitely a change, but I'm very glad I did it. Here's a few pics of the 300, and then of course, the new Camaro.
And I'll start with a few questions. The Camaro badging on the sides, the RS badging on the rear, and the Chevy emblem on the rear. Are they all affixed with just 3M double sided foam tape? I like the clean look of a de-badged car, so I'm thinking of removing all of the above mentioned items. On my 300, I removed the dealer emblem, door moldings, and 300 emblem the day I bought it. But I couldn't remove the Chrysler wings because they were installed using two alignment holes in the trunk. Just hoping I can remove what I'd like without running into any problems. Thanks! ![]() ![]() To this! ![]()

The rear emblem has two holes under it and the font one would leave a bowtie outline in the grill

Yes, you can take the CAMARO and RS badges off. Not so easy for the rear bow tie though as stated above, it's got two stems... I think that there is a piece you can buy for the front bow tie removal though.
Welcome to our C5 family, I think you are going to like it here. Great people, bery informative and a lot of fun. You'll make new friends fast. Lori |

Thanks for the quick replies!
So I'll definitely be leaving the Bowtie on then, but I'll probably remove the RS/Camaro emblems this weekend. I planned on leaving the front Bowtie on, so that's fine. I installed the 300 emblem from my 300 on the passenger side dash and I think it looked nice. Maybe I can do the same with the Camaro badging. I think it would look good against the orange dash accent. I've been lurking around here for a few weeks while I was deciding on pulling the trigger on the Camaro. It seems like this is a good place with good people. |

After owning the black 300 for 3.5 years, and having my wife's black 08 Camry for 3 years, I'm about done with black for a while! But I do love a black car, especially metallic, so I'm sure I'll have another some day. Before the 300 I had a silver Sebring, and before that a black Altima, so I needed to get something different for a change. And IOM is a hot color...it's almost like getting 3 or 4 colors in one depending on the light!

Hey Jarhead, Did a tour on the Drill field at PI. And my 2 oldest kids were born there at Beaufort Mem.
Welcome to the Camaro Clan. Unfortunately, I am being jerked around by my dealer. And my car is not being built yet. I seriously doubt he would enjoy having a pissed off former Marine Drill Instructor in his office with the idea in his head that he is being jerked around. LOL You probably would understand...

HI JOE.....what a deal, not only are names the same, so are our cars!! so with that, Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's and wive's here don't care....and take it easy.
![]() oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here. Welcome!!

Welcome aboard Sarge! Your '06 300 looked real clean but you made a real good decision by moving up to the Camaro. Nice ride. Enjoy and thanks for your service to our great country!
