Looks Like Hankook Ventus ST RH06 Again.

Well priced some Invo's and Proxy's. The Hankooks have lasted me and my 0-speed limit as fast as I can for 11000 miles so far. Probably have another 2-3K left on them.

But for 358.00 for a rear set mounted balanced and all I have a hard time looking at the other 2 that are at least 200.00 more mounted and balanced and probably won't last as long.

Have to remember Bee Bee was a slow car until 3K miles and GM fixed her. So the P-Zero's only lasted 5K with my driving.

So does my thinking sound good to you all? And besides I bought my car to have fun and Smokey and the Bandit is one of my favorite car movies.

I just put Nexen N3000's on the rear a few weeks ago and they seem pretty good so far. Treadwear rating of 340 (vs. 220 for Pirelli), and they're not all season tires (summer, performance ZR, 106Y), so we'll see how it goes....Pirellis lasted me 11 mos-~14K mi. ordered them from www.discountedwheelwharehouse.com

I was referring more to the safety aspect of it. A cheap tire usually means alot less traction which in turn means more dangerous in certain conditions.

Expensive doesn't automatically mean better either. I'm running Hankook's on mine and they're great tires. They don't have a "big" name or reputation yet so they don't charge big prices but they are rated very well in road tests.

Had the Hankook Ventus tires on my car, they sucked (IMO). Traction wasn't any good and the car couldn't corner for jack, the stabilitrak was all up in my business every time I took a corner above 35 mph. Switched to Nitto Invo's and so far they seem ok. If you want a cheap pair of Hankooks for the rear you can look for a pair on ebay soon from discount tire direct, they should have about 200 mi on them, they were the ones I sent back last week Friday.

I have them on my Mustang GT and they have been great tires, around 15000 miles on them and really no wear....

I'm surprised to see this since I have the Ventus V12 Evos on mine and they handle very well. Traction is solid and I've gone around corners at speeds well above 35 mph and the tires performed beautifully for me. But then my car is also Pedderized which certainly helps.

I dont think he was talking about the Ventus V12's Doc. I think he was talking about the RH06's that Scott was going to get. The Ventus V12's were rated #3 behind the Ps2's and a set of Dunlops(cant remember the set) by Car and Driver. If they had them for stock sizes id be getting a set when my PZeros ran down. Ill just have to wait till I can get the set of 19"s I want and Hotchkis Track suspension to make them look right. For stockers, id say the Nitto Invos are in my future. I keep hearing bad things on the Conti DSW's so leaning more toward the Invos.
