Question Camaro5 Fest 3, looking ahead

Where is the ideal location in the north east where a Camaro5 Fest could be hosted? A place with a drag strip and some kind od a road course. There must be somewhere in this part of the country that fits the bill. Lets hear your suggesttions with specifics, including city, state and track names. We need C5Fest to happen here sooner rather than later.

Don't Conn and NH both have NASCAR tracks? Really as a whole we could host it since most stuff wouldn't be more than a couple hours away.

molloni and i were having this discussion last night

the location should depend on the amount of vendors and amount of camaro5 people actually willing to attend...

my first pick was Watkins Glen...road course and plenty of room..popular...however renting this track could prove to be costly

second would be LimeRock Park in Lakeville, CT...Stevenson Motorsports Camaros race here....very popular road course...beautiful environment...AND they cater to SCCA events as well as Car Club events...this might be the better route for us to take

3rd NHMS.....what better place to have a C5 Fest than at the only superspeedway in New England?...again fees might be costly..

if enough vendors and participants take part...cost wont be an issue...having an event at any of these venues would sure stick a fork in anything camaro5 has done to that point....u havent had a camaro5 fest until youve had it at a real sanctioned Nascar track

My understanding is that they said it would be in the mid-west for C5F 3.

Geographically, this makes the most sense. New Hampshire and Limerock in CT are both pushing it as far as getting too far away from a lot of major population centers. New Jersey is easy enough for New Englanders to reach and if you go south and/or west from there you can really draw a lot of people.

If you look at a US Population Density Map you will see the North East Makes up for the Majority of the US's population. Which will yeild a lot more Participants than where its going to be this year.

That is just silly. There is nothing out there.

Have a look where the majority of people reside. Though it doesnt directly reflect Camaro sales, I would say the distribution is pretty close.

Tennessee or Virginia would be a prime location. It would be nice if it were in the North East though.
