The "black" camaro mags

i ordered my camaro last week and unfortunately the dealer doesnt appear to have very much info about all the options... thank god for this site.

The only question i had unanswered that im hoping someone from here can help me with is ....

Are the mags on the "black" camaro from the LA autoshow available from GM or not? I saw a couple of options for the mags from the "order guide" but have found no pictures to see what they look like.

That looks like the optional 21" rims to me. I'm not sure which set those are as there are 2 sets of rims you can order. And yes they are an LPO that you order from the dealer when you order your car.

I believe Mr. Draco is correct, these are the dealer-installed optional 21" wheels. I think these are considered the black "painted" version. The other ones are the same thing, only all polished aluminum, no black spokes. But either way...super spendy!! ($4680 for the ones pictured!!!)

Ooops, sorry!!! You are correct, those are the polished ones. For some reason, I was thinking the polished were ALL polished without the small black spokes. I was wrong, my bad!! But the black painted wheels are ALL black (at least all the spoke, big and small). So that would make these pictured wheels above $4865...too much for me!!!

According to the ordering workbook, there is no such thing as a black painted rim, or at least from the way I read it.

LPO, 21" Tire and Wheel Package #1, includes the
following dealer-installed accessories: 21" x 8.5" (53.3 cm x 21.6
cm) front and 21" x 9.5" (53.3 cm x 24.1 cm) rear polished rim
flange wheels, 245/40ZR21 front tires, 275/35ZR21 rear tires, 1
vehicle set lug and nut package, 4 center cape, mounting nuts
and Tire Pressure Monitor sensors

LPO, 21" Tire and Wheel Package #2, includes the
following dealer-installed accessories: 21" x 8.5" (53.3 cm x 21.6
cm) front and 21" x 9.5" (53.3 cm x 24.1 cm) rear polished rim
flange and spoke wheels, 245/40ZR21 front tires, 275/35ZR21
rear tires, 1 vehicle set lug and nut package, 4 center cape,
mounting nuts and Tire Pressure Monitor sensors

According to the ordering work book, the only difference is that one set is a "polished rim flange wheels" while the other is a "polished rim flange and spoke wheels"

I was simply going by the pictures of the wheels on the accessory option list. It looks like they call one Chrome and one Painted.

Yeah, sorry, I can't figure out how to insert the picture!!! You'd think it would be a simple copy/paste, but that didn't work obviously!!! Well, Check out the pictures in the link below.

If it's from your computer you need to do it as an attachment (the little paperclip icon). If it's from another site you need to use the insert image (the little picture with a mountain icon).

Yea I remember those pics. From the description I would think the first package would be these.

And the 2nd package would be these.

But the info we was given about the rims in the workbook doesn't mention anything about 21" painted rims.

Here are the 21s -- the ones on the camaro black we are pretty sure had a special finish and won't be available as an option -- only these two. You can see more pics in the spyshots thread -- look for the SEMA black and SEMA yellow cars

We actually had a debate about this at the LA auto show and we never got it figured out. One brochure said these are the polished wheels but the placard infront of the "Black" concept listed them as midnight silver....... seems to be conflicting information out there.

They are the polished wheels; the wheels on Camaro BLACK have a midnight silver finish on the polished portions exclusive to that car that helps to extend the 'black' theme.

Lol see that was part of the debate..... Later on when the crowds where dying down one of the "specialist" and I pulled out all his paperwork and used the placard info and compared it. Everything stated that these where the GM midnight silver 21's and not the polished. I know it goes against what he was saying in his speech and that confused both of us even more! He ended up changing his speech to say these wheels where the GM accessory midnight silver 21's. I have been trying to get to the bottom of this but I have been unsuccessful.
