DIY air scoop?
So for you that haven't looked at the new CAI pt 2 test from Jannetty the ADM race scoop seems to be a big help in boosting your intakes hp/tq numbers.
What I don't really like about this is its $75 for what looks like an easy DIY job. Has anyone attempted to do this themselves? Any DIY's written on this? |

ok why are there not a ton of guys doing this, cause a DIY was my thought when I saw the scoop

Keep your water bottle with this DIY air scoop
I made my own scoop and kept my water bottle by removing the wheelhouse and attaching the scoop with three #10 bolts and lock nuts that i got from home depot. I shaped the piece of aluminum in a vise. Then cut the front bumpper trim piece to allow air into the scoop. Couple of notes:
I have driven in the rain and found water not to be a factor I dont plan on driving in the snow I have since added washers to the locknut side help to distribute stresses on the wheelhouse. watch the videos in order
