There is a reason they call them Summer tires...

took the camaro out last night, was about 50 deg F and raining. theres a reason the are warmer weather tires...Wheel hop and slip and slide.

Anyone have any recommendations on some all seasons?

Continental Extreme Contact DWS. I don't personally have any experience with these yet, but from what I have heard on this site, they are a really good all-season tire, and the tread life rating is about the best you're gonna find on a 20" tire, so they "should" last a good while too. I'll be buying these as soon as my Pirelli's wear out.

Are the tires worn? Using a lot of throttle? I've driven my SS in 50 degree weather and rain and didn't have a problem.

Extreme Contact DWS are a great option. Summer tires when it gets cold harden up and loose grip. Its compounded in the wet weather.

These are the ones I want for my SS also but as I posted on another thread, they are currently on National Back Order per my tire dealer. I've been told they have the best "low noise rating" so I think I'll wait until their available.

The wheel hop wa during a play moment.

Now that I think of it, a lot of my slip was shortly after car had sat for a bit, so may partly have been to tires being really cold or first rain in a while as well. It was a little better today.

I'm strongly think the dws. Had them on my scion, they were phenomenal.

Thanks or the input.

its only happened in slick cold roads. Just able to repeat it again(middle of no where, like 10 MPH max). Seems to just be related to tire temp with respect to road temp. Water doesn't hurt either.

Hopefully i get enough cash soon to get them.
