CAR REMOTE FOR NITE-RIDER

Here's something cool for those who installed the Nite Rider v 2.0 LED light. The 3 buttons on the overhead console (if you have these) can learn the buttons on the Nite Rider keychain remote. I programmed one for (D) on/off, the next for (B) color and the third for (C) pattern. This work's great for me since I don't have a garage and hate to have buttons with no purpose. In some situations I find it easier to use the overhead buttons instead of the keychain remote. (Of course we would never operate this light in traffic).

To program the 3 buttons is pretty easy.

* Hold down the two outside buttons for about 20 seconds to clear all buttons from any previously stored code. (The red led on the overhead console will blink fast when finished).

* Hold the Nite Rider remote very close to the three buttons on the overhead console. Hold down the button you want to learn on the console and also hold the button on the Nite Rider remote you want to copy (The red led blinks slow when you start and when it is finished it blinks rapidly, now release both buttons)

* Repeat for the other two.

* Enjoy !

Go to http://www.homelink.com/program_instruct.php for more detail programming instruction. Try your other brand remote, if it work's great.

You dont need a video your manual tells you how to do it for a garage door opener. You just substitute the garage door opener with the scanner remote and your done!
