If you're not part of it, you're missing out. It's like watching through the fence at the baseball diamond and not being able to play; like looking at the kids playing street hockey through the window and knowing you can't join in.

Why am I posting this? Because I have noticed an ever growing frustration among non-domestic owners who get upset over the recent flare-up of the age-old rivarly. The fun is in arguing about and racing domestic muscle, the inexpensive mods, the endless possibilities and the grand history behind it. It's better than rooting for your favorite sports team. With the latest stampede toward the new Camaros and Mustangs, everything foreign seems to have gotten lost in the background.

Things have hit a feverish pitch, and the resulting low prices on second hand F-bodies, GTs and RTs is only making things worse as the younger among us buy them, then join in on the arguing. If you're sitting at a table with them and you own anything foreign it's like you don't exist. LOL.

Anyone noticed this phenomenon? I've seen it in the YouTube posts lately and at a few get togethers.

Amen brother! :rock: I am always going to be a Chevy guy, but I still like the others... that being said, I STILL LOVE throwing jabs at my Mustang buddy as much as he loves throwing them back at me.

Competition fuels improvement, which benefits us all.

And yeah, I've noticed a lot less Supra fanbois around... although to be fair, there are a TON for the GTR.

I've been doing my part in schooling the local ricers, some jap fanatics vehemently fight the facts though, it gets a little overwhelming to contest all the ignorance at times but the message that fart can Asian cars are undesirable is starting to sink in.

You still get the occasional uninformed buyer/loser that buys a brand new genesis coupe or 370z, but that is to be expected, you can't save em all.

I've seen a lot of STI fans, and that REALLY pisses me off considering it's slower, ugleir and worse around the track and STARTS at 36k and the special edition starts at 38K

I've always been a die-hard Mopar guy, but I can appreciate the other brands, too. The current muscle car rivalry reminds me a lot of the old days, but back then, we didn't have Internet forums for bench racing. Most of the debates were solved on the street or strip.

In my day it was the pool hall and a case of beer. Then we would see who was the best. It most often ended in a smashed up car or two. The internet bench racing is much safer trust me.

I was headed out to lunch yesterday and in the parking lot, something caught my attention from my peripheral vision. I turned, faced it and saw it was a new Dodge Challenger. I could not help but smile. It is a beautiful USA muscle car

I love the resurgance and appeal for the new muscle/pony cars.
Good natured rivalry and track side trash talking is great.
Camaro owner and I gave each other a quick thumbs up yesterday.
Course he almost didn't see me with those 4" high side windows you guys got
