Toggle switch
Just needing to wire a switch. I am confuses lol. I have one on my hids. It is a non illuminated toggle switch. 2 posts with one side positive another side grounded to car. I thought I didnt need the ground as it is non illuminated but when I pull the ground off the lights wont work. Anyway I am wiring another toggle switch with 2 posts. I just forget about the ground correct? So I cut the power wire going to the source put one positive on one post and another positive on the other post? Is this the case for any 2 blade toggle switch that has no light? like this or do I need to ground it?

If I am correct you will need a power wire on one blade and a signal wire on the other. Shouldn't need the ground wire. Make sure you are running through a relay though.
