First prank of Halloween Weekend?

So I got a knock on the door last night about 700ish, couple of high school kids from around the neighborhood wearing their JROTC undershirts were trying to fundraise (selling Hershey's candy bars for $1.. not a bad deal either since they're like $0.79 in the stores usually) for a trip to the air and space museum over in Cape Canaveral. I had to respectfully decline, because I didn't have any cash.

They were respectful and one of them commented on the Camaro in the driveway and said it looks really badass.

I would have donated, but as most poeple in this day i don't keep cash on me. I was contemplating calling the school Monday to get information to send a check directly...

Then get a call from my roommate this morning at 8:45 as he's heading out to work... he found this in the driveway.

Now I'm not calling them out or anything directly, but it seems pretty coincidental, especially since i've had zero problems up until this point.

I left a VM with the HOA that I know will go unreturned.

I will definately call the school Monday and speak with the head of the JROTC program, and make them aware of the situation. Like I said I don't have any evidence other than probable cause that these two were the culprits, it could very well be some drunk college students at 0400 AM, but I'll at least make them aware in case anything similar is reported.

But **** happens, oh well, was going to wash it today anyway. No permanent damage that I've seen, and now it looks better than before! I'll post those pics later, but its time to head out to the Cocoa Beach Air Show 2 hours late...

JROTC students are a little more disciplined. First, were they really JROTC students? There are plenty of scammers out there trying to get a quick buck. Second, why "assume" it was them if they were students? Your "probable" cause is a little far fetched because you are upset about your car. If you have absolutely no proof that it was them or could potentially have been them, you are going to tarnish the good name of the JROTC program at your local school. Your call may even cause the trip to be cancelled. I am not condoning the action of the punks that trashed your car, but please be leveled headed before you start blaming.

Sorry to see your car in such a sad state. Give it a good wash and wax.

I have a strong feeling it wasn't them. I'm looking into it more over the weekend, was informed by another C5're in my neighborhood of a mad halloween party down the street last night.

If I did call I wouldn't handle it like you're thinking, I would handle it diplomatically, basically would mention the condition I found the car in and ask if they heard any complaints similar. I agree that JROTC kids are a different class, and I wouldn't expect this to happen from one.

And for the comment about JROTC students and discipline.. please! Just becaue they are in JROTC doesnt set them appart from other highschooler any more than anything else. I was in JROTC had damn nice grades but me and friends were animals outside of school. I know of other in JROTC like that too. You just never know with teenagers. They are cool in front of adults in charge but amongst each other with no authority anything can happen.

You don't keep a camera on your car when it's parked outside?

I guess I'm just paranoid. Sorry to see that happened. I hope there was no abrasion to your clearcoat. That'd piss me off; I'd be looking to kick ass now and take names later!

Please keep us updated!

Looks like a husband/wife domestic issue...and the husband didn't like the soup, she took offense, threw said soup and missed husband. In retaliation, husband grabbed 2 iron from golf bag (St. Augustine on hood) struck wife, backswing caught a divot...

Wife now missing....
