Shop kept exhaust. Not like I had anywhere to put it in my apartment. I have the stock manifolds in the closet. No idea why, it's not like I'm going to switch back.

my mufflers are in my garage just sitting there. didn't know what to do with them, the shop would have kept them but I thought I better have them just in case.... if you have the room probably a good idea to hang onto them.

I had my stock exhaust mufflers in storage in the garage up until two days ago. Currently they are sitting next to the house waiting for me to take them to the scrap yard.

So I ask: just in case of what? and Why?

Here are my thoughts:

Why hang on to them, ask yourself are you EVER going to put them back on again. You took them off for a reason, enjoy that reason. If your thinking you might want to return to stock for resale value (worth a ton of money later), I have bad news, you might have to wait 40 years for that return. I may be long gone by then, and then again maybe not. If your afraid the buyer might want stock mufflers, well I guess they may not be buying my Camaro then (not that I plan to ever sell her.) Either way who cares. I plan to enjoy my Camaro today.

So, do I hang on to them just in case my current MRT's need to be replaced, Well I can tell you one thing it WON'T be with those suitcases they call stock mufflers.

So ask your self why and just in case for what?

Mine were taking up space and I know I will get tired of moving them around. Good-bye suitcases, go become a wrist watch or something similar.

I don't plan to ever sell my car but if I ever need to, I may put the car back to stock if I can't get what I want for it, especially if I trade it. Everytime you trade a car you loose absolutely everything you put in it as far as accessories and aftermarket stuff goes. I know I can always sell my aftermarket parts for more $ than the stock parts.
