SS caps from D2 Forged?

Has anyone gotten SS caps from D2 Forged? If so, can you post a few pics?

I ordered a set but have received no word on when they'll be done, that was a over a month ago :-(

Little off topic Grinder. But with that camshaft installed does your car have any "lope" to the idle now or is it still smooth like stock? Looking for a cam that has little something extra to it at idle without being to crazy!!

I finally got an update on the caps. The custom caps are being machined next week supposedly, then they have to go to the finishers. D2 estimated mid-late December to get them done. They rarely do custom caps, hence the delay associated with them.

If you already paid for them, they are required by law to notify you of any delays and give you a chance to cancel or continue waiting if they cannot get it shipped by 30 days. A lot of businesses fail to remember that. Some do, and that's why they say they won't charge your credit card, etc., until they ship. Keeps their butts from being in hot water. Stiff fines for stuff like that.

If you haven't paid for them, then you're stuck waiting until they get to it.

He has been notified of delays, and offered a refund. Not sure which "law" you speak of here, but I consider it just customer service.

That's cool. That wasn't inferred from the OP, so I thought I'd throw that out there in case there were issues. Usually people don't post things like this if they were feeling like everything is hunky-dory.

The rule is not a secret. But apparently not many consumers (and vendors as I've found out) know about that little caveat (there are some exceptions to this rule, however). Federal Trade Commission mandates it. It's pretty much right here:

Quote:
When taking orders, whether by phone or online, you must follow the shipping and refund rules of the Federal Trade Commission's (FTC's) Mail or Telephone Order Merchandise Rule, also known as the "30-Day Rule." In a nutshell, the rule mandates that when you advertise merchandise and state the shipping times, you must have a reasonable basis for believing you can meet these shipping deadlines.
The 30-Day Rule

If you don't say anything about shipment times, you're expected to ship within 30 days from the date you received a properly completed order -- that is, when you receive the payment and all the information needed to fill the order. The rule does not apply to collect-on-delivery (C.O.D.) orders, sales of seeds and growing plants, or magazine subscriptions (except for the delivery of the first issue).

If you notify the customer of a delay, you'll need to get the customer's consent. This is also true for online orders, which are considered complete when the customer clicks it along to you. If you can't get the customer's consent to the delay, you must, without being asked, refund the money the customer paid you for the unshipped merchandise. If there's a shipping delay and you don't want to seek the customer's consent, you can simply cancel the order, notify the customer, and refund the payment. Keep a record of how you gave the notice (whether by email, phone, fax, or regular mail), when you gave it, and how the customer responded. Again, if you don't say anything about shipment times at the time of the order, you're expected to ship within 30 days.

Thanks Tony...that's fine I'm in no hurry, I just wanted to know they're being worked on. When they're done and installed I'll take plenty of pictures for you.

BTW, my D2 MB2 rims are awesome; they look like GM designed them specifically for the 5G Camaro. I get tons of compliments on them.

Happy Turkey Day Grinder! Glad your loving the wheels!

Custom Cap production is in such small quantities that it gets delayed by things like the SEMA show.

We'll get them to you soon! Along with some D2 freebies thrown in.

Don't eat too much today, it'll slow the car down! lol

We will get them done for you
