Intrested as well.
Actually I'm more intrested to see if someone replaced a different CAI with the Vararam and thinks it's worth the money and effort. Personally I don't care for the looks over the open element type but if it truely gets the kind of rwhp they are saying then I might have to bypass looks for performance.

Just to be clear, the CAI is exremely well made and Jannetty's testing showed it to be top notch. Not saying it not a great intake. If I were to do CAI again, I'd have to have the ADM sccop to go along with it because that makes sense. Keep in mind that I don't take my car to the track, no dyno, and it's my daily commuter. I can only give my opinion based on SOTP. Last edited by IndeedSS1; 11-25-2010 at 09:53 AM. |

This will prob be on the first set of performance mods I install, along with exhaust, headers, and a tune. I have yet to hear any negative feedback

I have this intake. I waited VERY long before I pulled the trigger on a setup. I could not be happier. OTR(Over the radiator) is an awesome intake. It pulls air from out side, although with the scoop attached others can as well.
I've data logged this intake(still am) and I am very impressed thus far with the results. My IAT's stay almost at ambient when you are cruising and go down almost immediately once you get going. WOT this car sounds much more aggressive with this intake from an exhaust and intake standpoint. It looks awesome IMO. I just could not be happier. I don't have any hp increase numbers, but it will be similar to most on the market at the very least. There are a lot of good ones available, just get the one you feel is best for you. Absolutely on the throttle response. It's hard to feel the hp increase on a car that already has 426 hp, but I will tell you the car feels more aggressive and I know the hp gain is there, I just don't have a dyno to show what the gain is.

^^^ His thread about the Vararam was the one that clinched the deal for me. Well that and Marylandspeed's deal on the Vararam on the right now.
Side note: Vararam's customer support team is top notch as well. I gave them a call, asked a bunch of questions, and ordered a spare filter and cleaning kit. The two guys I spoke two, Steve and Patrick (hope I got the names right) were friendly and went above and beyond to take care of me. |

I want from stock to a vararam and then to a K&N and back to the vararam, ( i was a beta tester for the two company's) First the throttle response was the best fell with the vararam no lag at all, and the OTR lets the car rev up fast, ones i added headers, this car runs like the wind, You will fell the HP pic up right away. IMO

I wonder if Ted Jannetty is going to do any testing on the Vararam? I know it wasn't part of the last testing probably cause of the bucking problem that seems to be fixed now. I have a Roto-Fab which I'm happy with and I'm thinking about adding the ADM race scoop. Problem is the windshied washer bottle needs to be removed. I'm actually thinking of maybe going with the Vararam and selling the Roto-Fab so I'll have the benefit of fresh air and I can keep the washer bottle alone! Hmmmm, decisions decisions!
