LS3 Cam Question?

Hello Fellow Camaro Owners,

I just had a question on and upgraded Camm swap? I was wanting to get a Procharger, but the thing is that I would like to get the Camm first and then get the Procharger. (If you think that I should get the Procharger first please let me know). I would like for the camm to match up with the Procharger when I get it. Has anybody done this kind of a set up? I am open ears. I'm very sorry if this is a repost.

Sounds like an idea. By the way I gotta ask do you like your procharger? Do you feel disappointed in it? Power and performance wise.

Thank you for info.
Do you think the lifter, pushrods, springs and etc need to be changed out as well?

I talked to my mechanic FINALLY. Getting everything order(pushrods, gaskets, springs, etc) I should have all installed next week. Thank you guys so much for the help. I will try and post a video when all said and done. I guess next big money spender is Procharger.

Well I can tell you the company that I am going with "Comp Cams". Durations and all that other stuff I could not tell you, all my mechanic said that a good blower cam would work out. I didnt get to go into details since I was at work at the time. I will take pics when it gets here. So excited.

The ProCharger was not my first choice, but I purchased the kit at an incredible price. My car made 535 rwhp @ 7psi with longtubes. You can read countless opinions and reviews of the different types of superchargers. Remember, the ProCharger builds boost with RPM, so you are not going to get that "hit" as soon as you lay into the throttle.

My car, as it stands, does not keep traction at anything above 4500 rpm with the stock P Zeros, and that is just rolling into the throttle. I couldn't imagine having full boost/torque at 2500 rpm. Remember, if your spinnin, you ain't winnin....

Ted, what is the need to upgrade the trunions? Also would you recommend that we would measure the pushrod length first and then let you know what length was needed vs. getting the 7.4" that comes with your kit?

2 different size sockets and a vise works for the Home mechanic but we use a press and a fixture, either way is fine just faster with the fixture.

We have done so many cams we are fully confident the pushrods we provide are the correct length for our cams.

Ted.
