Best way to fix small dings and paint chips?

Washed my car today and found this nasty chip in my drivers side door. Guess I am pretty lucky as this is my first chip in 9803 miles. Whats the best way to fix this?

I've used Dr Color Chip and it works great. Easy to apply and better than touch up paint from dealer.

I am very curious as to how this works

I have heard people rave about it but never read an explanation from anyone here that has used it

The way it's "supposed" to work, is you get 2 bottles in a kit... a bottle of paint and a bottle of something they call "seal act". You smear some of the touch up paint over your chips, then take a rag with a little of the "seal act" on it, and gently rub it across the area you touched up. The seal act is to take off the excess paint around the chip, leaving the touch up paint only in the recess of the chip. It "sorta" works, but I've found it to take out the paint where you want it to remain sometimes too. It's good for road rash, but for a single chip like the one above I'd just use the paint by itself and just carefully touch it up.

Fixed your post for you.

Believe me you have other chips, take a good look at your gills and your front facia.

Dr. Colorchip or Langka (I prefer the latter) both work great for small chips and scratches. I've used it dozens of times now and been very pleased with the results each time.

Just need to be patient and follow the directions closely for great results.

I've used Dr Color Chip it will mask the chip pretty good. but now that you know its there your eyes will also go to it. to fix that one little chip you will have to spray the whole door and will run you about 350 to 500 hundred. i have spent over 2 thousand dollars just in getting chips fix and i still have some on the hood. i am getting my bumper done over again because of chips. at some point you have to let it go. i am trying myself good luck

I just use normal touch up and take a credit card with a microfiber rapped around it and dab a little mineral spirits or paint thinner and swipe over it a couple times to knock the excess blob off. while it isn't perfect it looks better than a hump of touch up.
