Help! How to open truck with a dead battery?

Well, my car has been sitting idle for three months. I just went to start it to take it out and the battery is dead. No big deal except I can't get the truck open to get at the battery. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks!!

Stick the key in the lock on your driver door, open the passageway into the truck from your rear seat and pop the green handle

I believe there is a provision to jump start the car from the engine compartment. If you can jump start the car then you can recharge the battery the same way.

Just did the pop the hood and put a jump battery on and fired right up..Then popped the trunk and found that the Ground to the battery had worked itself loose.

Thanks guys. The car was open so I popped the hood, hooked up some cables to get juice to the car, popped the trunk and jumped the pig. Thank you all the replied. Guess I shouldn't have gone three months with no start. Time to see what the Jannetty forged motor with 15+ psi will feel like!!

You might want to put a battery tender on it when it sits for a while. We do that with all our vehicles/boats/trailers/motorcycles.

Yeah, the battery tender is a great way for a taller guy like me to not have to crawl thru the back seat.

Get a battery tender if you have power where you store it. Not only does it make life easier but your battery will last a couple years longer. My mom's miata battery lasted 9 years before it started showing signs of failing.
