Reason for guage sweep?
I like it, but is there a purpose. Was watching a Supercar show on Speed and noticed the Ferrari guages did that when they started the car.

I've heard it's some self test sequence the car is doing.

As stated above, its a self test so it knows your gauge isn't going to stick!

Do you mean when then they sweep to peg clockwise, then back, then to normal like the Camaro does?

I was wondering cause mine does that and i thought the battery was bad already. My mustang did that when the battery power was low.. good to know.
