an old problem w/my trunk - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I just bought a 2014 Camaro LS...love the car and the way it handles and the v6 is peppy.
I've owned several cool cars,many vettes(gen 3,4,5 &6), 911 and M3 to name a few.
So to my trunk issue:
Tried to open the trunk a few days ago and nothing..from either the fob or the button. Had to use the manual release.
I've read through several things and was hoping it was a wire issue....I'm never that lucky, it isn't.
Tore the trunk apart and when I pulled the top cover from the trunk a plunger comes out that was my first wtf is that, but I seem to have found the answer.
So I feel I'm not getting power. I went looking for the fuse box and it says that fuse F 23 (if I remember correctly is on the fuse block inside the cabin.
I can't seem to find the opening for it.
Has anyone tested for power, how did you do it and can you give me a better idea of where that block is located and how to get into it

Drivers side dash cover pulls off and fuse box is inside there.
