The Original California Car Duster, Opinions??

C5, I know this post will probably get moved, but I put it here so I could get opinions from the most people. Does anyone with a dark Camaro, preferably black, use the Original California Car Duster? I want to get one, but I have seen some people say it leaves small scratches. Opinions??

Thanks!

I use it on my Black 91 RS (Was repainted 2 years ago). It does not leave scratches as its treated with something to make it glide across the surface. I only use it for Pollen or dust. If there is anything heavier on the car I wash it first. The first couple of times you use it though it will leave small red fuzz on the car. Once its broken in, it works great.

Many people say its bad but thats because many people dont use it correctly. Look up "junkman" on youtube, he has a video explaining how to properly use it.

If used correctly its a safe and useful tool for removing light dirt and pollen.

it wont leave scratches providing your not dusting off sand. it is great for "dust" pollen etc. i use mine alot after a wash and wax. typically i can dust the car 2 or 3 times inbetween a wash. also make sure you beat the dust out of it as your using it.

If the Dirt is dried onto the car from say a puddle splash or something, dont use it. Its meant for pollen and dust primarily, not caked on dirt.

It is like any tool, you have to use it properly to get the best results. I wasn't going to get one until I saw junkman's video.

I don't have black, but use mine at least twice a week. Not had a single scratch in two years.

I have one for my IOM. Also had one for my 69. Never had an issue. Works great!
