Talking $20 tint job

Ok I know going to Auto Zone and buying tint is stupid and looks cheesy but I did it. It took 2 $10 rolls to %20 to finish the side windows but I'm happy with it. It look like all afternoon to make sure everything was perfect but I did it. I know thats a long time to sit in a cold garage but my help was a 3 year old and because of that it took a little longer. " Can we fix it .... Yes we can!" was all we said LOL )
a couple of iphone pics below.

FYI. This is only a tie over, I want to buy a grill, stripe and exhaust before I spend the real money for a professional tint jog.

Looks good for now. But how long till it starts bubbling? Remember you always pay for what you get

I don't fault you! I tried to put a clear bra on my car and failed miserably, but you do what you can afford! tint is a tiny bit easier as you have a flat surface. I had my windows tinted professionally because I knew it would bug me if the tint wasn't perfect. It was almost perfect and my tint guy fixed the one bubble for free by replacing the window tint. Best $125 I ever spent. He even gave me a free hand car wash for giving him a good review on Google.

Dude u did a ok job but cheaping out on tint um why? Its a 35k ride not a 200 dollar beater. Tinting is not a DIY job imo. The quality of the tint is not the same as they get and once it starts to bubble u have a nasty mess on your hands. That glue it a pain to get off.

You did a great job it looks like. Good luck with it. I got my entire car tinted for 150.00 and feel it was a great investment.

I've done my own tint before, worked out pretty good. Had the car 3 years, no bubbles or any problems. Still not worth the time involved when I can have it done for $140. The problem is if you don't know what you are doing to takes many hours to get it right.

One thing though , you must have used the cheapest tint because when I did it 15 years ago tint was around $10-$20 per roll. I used the most expensive $20 per roll tint from 3M.

the only mess you will have if the tint fails is the rear window.. its hard to get that off because of the defrost lines..

not sure how it really look in person but on picture it look pro. The cost of tint is about 10-20 dollars, I use to work at tint shop long time ago and sometimes pepboys or autozone tint are higher quality than the tint some shop use.
if looking for quality than use a shop that use 3M or better, but than again most of us dont keep our car no more than 5 yrs right?

Ya I'm hoping it holds out for 6 months to a year. If it starts to suck or I dont like it I'll just take it to the shop next week
