Unhappy V6 timeline

I have heard a lot of different speculation on when those ordering V6s will get their cars.
I understand initial production will be 50% V6 and 50% V8.
I also understand that initial orders are running 85% V8.
I also understand dealers will be getting V6 showroom cars.
What I don't understand is the priorty of V6 ordered cars vs V6 showroom cars. Will all dealer showroom cars be built prior to filling any V6 orders?

You probably need to talk to your dealer. My dealer told me I'm # 4 (first batch of cars) on their list and I'm ahead of their "lot cars." He told me to expect my car in less than 2 months. I hope he's right.

Sorry if that's not much help. I would start with your local dealership and ask them when they expect to see their cars (V6 and V8) to arrive.

1st. I don't think that they said that production will be 50/50 split I believe they said they were prepared for a 50/50 split!
2cd. I believe you are right for the pre-orders, around 85% V8's.
3rd. Yes dealers will get 1 non-allocated V6 for the showroom.
4th. Yes all V6 non-allocated showroom cars will be built before pre-ordered V6's.

I could be wrong on any given statement, but I think this what you are looking at. Hopefully someone will chime in with more knowledge than me to set things straight. GL
That being said , I would guess early to mid summer, but your dealer should be able to give more information on this than I.

I am hoping you are dead wron on that last statement, It would not be fair to anyone that ordered a V6 before those with the V8 to have to wait until mid summer to get their cars. I though I had read that the dealer cars would be mixed in with the normal production cars not as a total run before any other V6 cars are built. I think that would be very detrimental to their public relations.

I understand your frustration, and I could very well be wrong, not dead wrong though. I am just saying from what I have read here this is my understanding. Besides June_July could very well be only the 2cd and 3rd shipments of allotments. You should talk to your dealer, also there are dealers on this forum like Camaro_Scotty who may be able to answer your questions. I didn't reply stating anything I said to be 100% correct but rather I stated I could be wrong. It's my interpretation, didn't mean to upset you.

I realized you said you were not 100% sure about what you posted, I was just stating I was hoping you were wrong and that I had heard other things than you had.
It was also my understanding at first they said all the dealer cars were going to be all exactly the same. but I have seen posts where dealers said they could order them any way they wanted.

So instead of posting unsubstantiated things (RUMORS) unless you are 100% sure about it I think it may be best If we keep from perpetuating rumors and let those in the know to answer.

i'm pretty sure they already said in another thread that the first month production is only devoted to the v6 showroom cars after that its any ones guess as to which cars get made first. probably switch to v8 production even though i hope not i ordered a v6

This ? was posed by someone else, and I tried to answer the best I could, stating that I am no expert. And you are accusing me of starting rumors, and this isn't even your ?. What gives? I am not starting rumors and if you don't believe what I said to be fact, then do your homeword instead of calling me a RUMOR starter. No one knows 100% for sure about the allocation process, it is all still educated guess work. I referenced Camaro_Scotty, so maybe you could start there instead of focussing on me. I am just trying to lead someone in the right direction and give an idea what he may or may not being looking at. I don't appreciate being called a RUMOR starter, and this is a forum. I did not spew anything out as being the absolute fact, it's my opinion. No one knows until they arrive how they will be allocated. So I say to you Give me a Break. I didn't do a damn thing wrong!

Thanks for the responses.
The two differing responses are why I posed the question because I have read both answers.
I'm hoping someone in the know will address this question. I agree that it doesn't seem fair to build all dealer cars before ordered cars and I'm hoping Chevy comes to that conclusion.
As far as asking my dealer they said I would have my car in April. I just don't believe that is a fact.
