Rear window defrost problem

So I noticed my rear window defrost seems to not be fully functional. Upper grid doesn't seem to heat at all. Lowest right wire in bottom grid isn't heating either. Since I'm new to Camaro, wanted to ask you guys who have been owners longer, if the upper grid is really functional or just a cosmetic grid (would seem weird to me)??? I'm gonna be taking her back to dealer next week to fix unless someone here indicates its "normal".

Looks like its working just fine to me.. Top which looks like defrosters are actually the radio antenna. Notice the spacing in the bottom lines. They are further apart taking it longer to heat up the space..

The grid is definitley not just cosmetic...

I will check out if there is added function other than heating and get back

I have the same problem with mine, it takes forever to defrost and it cuts out the radio reception.

We apologize for the frustrations. Have you been to a dealership for a diagnosis?

For what is worth mine kicks ass. This is one of the more impressive functions in my mine for a "summer car". Even with thick frost and light snow it is cleared almost completely in 5 min or less. I believe you have a problem with the grid.

I cant bring myself to scraping the windows and putting fine scratchs in them so my lives all winter in defrost mode. Always works great.

Pretty sure the attenna is not in the glass but could be wrong.

Mine has never worked , will try to remember to have the service dept. check it when they tow mine in friday to check out my stalling issue. It is kind of hard to tell by the photo posted if it is working as intended, it looks like its trying to do something.
