Wheel radio controls
Well I just got the wheel control module from GMpartshouse. I will be installing them at some point over the next week or so. I will also be ordering the PDIM at some point as well. My question is though, once I install the wheel controls, do I have to get it updated at the dealer or will it control the radio right away? If it does need to be updated then I would install it and just wait til I install the PDIM to get them done at same time instead of spending an hr rate twice.

Yes wait for the PDIM. They will charge a minimum of 1 hr labor so you might as well just get it done once

Thats what I figured. Thanks for the help. BTW, hopefully they arent as dumb as some of the dealers people have been dealing with on here. Thats my major concern haha.

It's hit or miss as to how much of a doofus you'll be dealing with. From what I was told, they put new guys on the programmers so they can learn how to use them. While they may know how to use the programmer in basic things like diagnostics, I'm not sure how much training they get on how to actually use it as a programmer. Hopefully, you get somebody that has done it before or at least, get a newbie with somebody guiding them. Best of luck.
