BAD NEWS FROM DEALER ABOUT MY CAMARO - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I gave the dealer $1000.00 to place my order and to hold me a spot for the camaro back in December. He stated that I was going to receive my Camaro sometime in March. Now, he just gave me a call and told me that they are only receiving 8 camaro's, and I was the 9th person. He stated that I might not be getting my car at all. Whenever I call him and ask about the Camaro, he stumbles and says, "It's busy and i have to call you back." Do you guys think that I will be getting my car before August at least?

From everything I've gattered here, it will be after oct before you get your
car. I would find another dealer reguardless.

Get your money back and find another dealer. Dealers knew exactly how many camaros they would be initially allocated. For them to do this to you sounds to me like there is something "fishy" going on.

Of course you also didn't tell us the full details and arrangement you had with this dealer, the dealership name, and what (if anything) you had in writing regarding promises made, etc.

even if your dealer had 9 spots there is no wayyyyyyyyyy youd be getting your car in march!!!!!!!!!!!!!!000to me it sounds like he solad all his allocations then a family member--good friend or businees member from his dealership wanted to get a slot --thus he blew off your slot telling you he got only 8

Sorry to hear that, go to a dealer that actually has allocations left and one who doesnt give all that BS. Welcome to the board.

It was only a verbal agreement between me and the dealer. He stated that I fell under the first batch of orders of camaro's so I was okay. It was up until yesterday where he called me and gave me the bad news. Oh, and the dealership is Tropical Chevrolet in Miami, FL.

His eighth allocation will probably be received in Sept / October. Your's won't be in until after that. He's a liar. Get your money back and find a dealer that still has an open allocation.
