Am I the ONLY one with this problem?

The problem im talking about is the new Camaro steering wheel. I like the steering wheel but it needs to differintiate its self more from the Cruzes steering wheel. In my personal opinion they should make the tri-color red, white, blue Chevrolet bowtie logo underneath with the words Camaro standard on all of them. Camaro is a very special vehicle it needs to at least say Camaro on the steering wheel instead of making it out like its just another vehicle with just the Chevrolet Bowtie logo. In my opinion they should make the red white and blue logo standard on all the wheels with Camaro under it.

Chevy likes to share parts between different models. I can remember that the '76 Corvette steering wheel was identical to the '76 Vegas. Over the years part sharing was done for a couple of reasons:
1. ItAllowed them to save a lot of money on R&D, design, and development.
2.Made it cheaper and easier for the owner to repair and maintain the vehicle.

So if you want a custom looking car from the factory, buy a high end European car, pay the price at the dealer and be ready to pay lots extra for every repair.

They should've at least kept the word "Camaro" on the steering wheel. I don't think there is a single person that hated that. Or they can do what they do in the Mustang (at least in older models) and corvette and put the name/logo of the car on the passenger dash.

They're talking about the revised 2012 Camaro steering wheel, see the new sticky thread...

Go on e-bay and search 2010 Camaro steering wheel. There are several vendors who make custom wheels.

The new one is bland and unmemorable, the original is unique and bold.

...and no one would have thought anything otherwise if the 2010 wouldve come with the new steering wheel. In fact, it has a better feel being thicker.

I completely agree. But they did kind of downgrade the uniqueness with the new one. All they'd have to do to make most everybody happy would be to get rid of the chevy logo and put "camaro" back on the wheel. It does look like a more functional and useful wheel. It just needs some small tweaking.

They've said the change was in response to consumer feedback. I'm curious what the issues were with the 2010-2011 style wheel? I have a 2011 myself, and when I got in to test drive my car, I thought the wheel looked cool and liked that it said Camaro on it in the same font as the lettering on the fenders.

I'm content with the steering wheel on my 2011 LS. I know there have been some complaints about it, but I honestly didn't read any of the threads about it because I didn't have any issues with mine.

Maybe one of you can fill me in?

Am I incorrect in thinking that since the emblem/wording is on the airbag, it is just a matter of swapping that out? If that can be done, it should be done!
