2011 GM Ground Effects Kit Warranty

Went to my Dealers Parts Dept. today to buy a Ground Effects Kit, i wanted to have it painted Summit White. They told me that 2011 Ground Effect Kits can not be painted,if they are painted before or after install it will void the warranty for the Ground Effects.Has anyone else heard of this? They said the 2010 kit can be painted.

I dont see how painting it voids warranty. What is the fix if it does warp?

Paint it, we did! Had ours done by a good body shop and have no issues and looks great. Ours was on car we when bought it but it was cyber grey so shop had some extra work to do paint ours, cost about $1,400 to have done. Looks better painted.
