Official 'How are your tires doing?' picture thread...

I see many people posting about their tires not lasting long or that they aren't very good... so I figured, why don't we document it?!

So post up a pic of your tires, engine (V6 or V8 - assuming that the V8 will be more aggressive on the tires) and the mileage on them.

Mileage: 5709
Engine: V8

Never done a burnout, but I do like to kick the tail out going round corners every now and then!

You should have dubbed this thread "A man and his rubber"

I only have 450 miles on mine so I won't post in here until I do a couple fishtails and a burnout if I can convince myself that it won't tear the tires up too bad.

Yeah definitely, that's good news for sure!

Glad there is a little more interest in this thread now. Guess it needed to wait for people to be able to get out and take pics as it's not necessarily a pic people will have laying around!

I've got over 19k miles on mine and they still look new.
Waiting for them to wear out so I can get a set of all season radials.

It is tempting at times huh? Of course on a safe deserted road with no other cars or children playing. haha

It is very tempting! And I'd much rather do that than a burnout... that's for sure!

I remember when I finally figured out how to turn everything off (TC and comp. mode) I decided I was going to do this and ended up sideways in the road. Good thing it was a 1 way street.

I haven't done that yet. I only turned on Comp. Mode when I was on my test drive, and that was it. Haven't tried it in my own car!

I just replaced the tires on my SS at 23000 miles. Tires still had tread to spare but picked up 2 nails in my rear tire so decided to change early. Couple of minor burnouts thru 1st and 2nd but nothing major. Replaced them with another set of P Zeros. Hard to beat at the price they sell for. By the way they track great at 150 plus!

I am not a real big fan of the Pirelli's. They are awesome when you first get them, but after about 15,000 miles, they really lost their stickiness. The tread is still good, but they don't grip very well.

I was interested in getting a set of Goodyear F1s on it, but I they do not make the stock wheel size for the SS.
