Trifecta Input

Ok I got my Trifecta tune last week, but it seems slightly sluggish on take off. I sent a short log to Vince for him to review.

I was just wondering if maybe there are some things I should mention to him that I want to make the car more aggressive, but remain in the safe zone. I just checked the boxes which are pretty general. There are a lot of people that have a lot of log time and knowledge here on this and I was looking for advice to help the process.

I have no first hand experience. But I have read it takes a week or two for the ECM to adjust. Something like 5 or 6 start cycles a few hundred miles. Then the car wakes up...

Hmm, can you list the details of your tune?

I felt my Torque management removed pretty much immediately. But the firm shifts took a while to kick in.

well did the trans tune and torque management tune and speed limiter. I could be forgetting something. Truthfully it feels the opposite jagan. My shifts were faster right away, but it feels like I am under more torque management. I am sort of new to this so I don't know just how to communicate all of it.

It seems to kick in after a few seconds, but isn't fun right away. LOL

I am hoping Vince will see something or maybe it just takes time.

If your shifts feel more firm and quicker than it wouldn't be more torque management.

I didn't notice any difference until about a week-2 weeks later and then the car woke up. Much quicker response.

Dude mine is/was the same way. I got the tune and i noticed the better shift points but not really anything else. Today is the first day where i'm actually starting to feel a difference. I think you really just have to give it time like the above poster said.

Ok well it is obvious I don't know much about these things so I appreciate the input. I understand why it takes some time for the computer to catch up if you add a mod like intake, but to me it just seemed if you are modding the computer itself it should be instant. I will just be patient.

I agree with you on that. I thought Tuning should be instant as well. But sure enough, a week after the install of the tune, the car changed dramatically. My brother was the guy that noticed the change. Since he doesn't ride in my car all the time. He noticed the difference from a week of not having to ride in my car. =D You will feel it.

Drive it around for a week... and see if that changes.
