Sugestion for Auto Show (Fbodfather)

Hi Scott hope your enjoying your ride! Just wanted to ask if you can pass this down to the auto-show employees.

I've read several reviews from users sitting in these cars not being able to adjust the seats, and them propagating the belief that the interior head and leg room is small. If you can, ask to have the seats fully moved back and down before disconnecting the power. Just a suggestion thanks for your time. As for everyone else please feel free to add your suggestions but keep them constructive.

Good one, better to have people thinking there is too much room than not enough... as usual.

Good idea. If there is concern about rear legroom from the marketing folks, have the drivers seat back and down to demonstrate front seat comfort and leg/head room and move the passengers seat up to show how much rear seat leg room you can have if you wanted back there.
Often moving the passenger seat up is a bit roomier 'cause you don't have to deal with the stearing wheel and pedals.

ooohhhhh!!!!!

I want to know which show you were at where the seat was NOT down and the whole way back!!!!!

There is a paper that every floor manager is to read and sign -- it's about a dozen pages long (written by yours truly) -- called "Great Expectations" -- and it is DETAILED in what you, the consumer expects -- and what I and everyone else expects -- it's a manual on how to prepare the display and the cars/trucks..........

And ONE of the 'commandments' is (where vehicles are not powered) -- the front seats should be placed in the full 'lowered' position with the seat the whole way back and the backrest in a relatively upright position.......

I WANT to know when anyone visits the Chevy (or Cadillac or Hummer or Saab) exhibit and finds the seats anywhere else!!

Two exceptions:

>Avalanche/Escalade EXT -- where front seats are not completely 'back' so that the mid-gate can be demonstrated....

>Impala -- again so that we may demonstrate the 'flip and fold' rear seat.

^LOL, there's your answer fellas!

I thought that was strange when I read it. Those seats should have been all the way back.

Well done. I myself could never get to a show. Nothin close enough. But I do wonder if the Camaro will seat us short guys fairly well.

I'm certain by now that the big guys can seat good. Nobody ever really talks about the little guy. LOL

I'm sure it will be fine so for all you little guys, don't let the display fool you. 400+ hp is just as strong wether you 5'4" or 6'4".

Why yes there is.

In Scott's version of the novel, he's Shunt's assistant.

speaking of seats, do they recline? sadly, I R getting old, I love my '03 Monte, the seats lay almost flat. I like to take a 30min-ish siesta at lunch and its actually really comfortable. Thats the one thing Im actually afraid of with the new Camaro. I may lose my mid-day nap

That's great to know, I've been to a few but none that you can sit in the car. We have one coming up in 2 weeks I'll keep you informed. Anyhow, as I had stated I had read several people on here post they did not think the seat was all the way back and down. For example they went on to state how they are five eight and they felt there wasn't much headroom and could only reason that was the case. Thanks for the help once again.

Hey Scott,

While the show is over, I'm pretty convinced that on Feb 20 at the Toronto Show the IOM 2SS/RS did not have the driver seat all the way down. I am only 5'9" and was quite surprised that my lid was brushing the roof liner edge of the sunroof frame. Don't have a big mop either. I asked 3 associates if it was all the way back/down. The most knowledgeable man suggested that the lady who drove the show car in was short so it may not have been fully adjusted. Naturally there were no keys around to adjust. I checked out the LT model there and it was slightly better, but still a bit tighter than expected. Not to send any Suburbans after this young lady of course...
