Next Auto Show for the ZL1?

Now that the Chicago, Dallas and New York auto shows are over, where do think the ZL1 will be put on display again? The Miami Auto show is not until November.

Are there any auto shows in the Nashville area where the ZL1 might appear? I really don't want to drive 5+ hours just to see it. Although I will be driving 9 hours to pick it up from Becky.

Instead of driving to Michigan and back, and putting excess miles on your new ZL1, you can order the car from Becky and have it shipped directly from the assembly plant to a local dealer near you for delivery. It's called a courtesy delivery and they are done all over the country. The receiving dealer preps and cleans the vehicle and usually handles the paperwork to license and title the car. They charge a fee, usually in the $300-$400 range.

According to Jimmie Johnson Chevrolet (San Diego) there is no info on the ZL1yet. Theyy said production does not start until January 2012, and they are not taking orders. I was there this morning to find out about window tinting. Maybe Becky has better connections then Jimmie.

You are correct sir. Those of us that have put their names on "lists" are getting on a list to order when ordering is available (Oct/Nov 11)

I don't mind the drive, plus I might have a trade in to drop off. I also don't want to give any money to my local dealer. They've screwed me in the past, and I've already told them I would drive out of state to buy a car before I would go through them (this dealer tried to sell a used 1LT/RS for more than the MSRP on a 2SS when they first came out).

I can understand if you negotiated a trade-in with a specific dealer, but I'm sure there are several "local" dealers that didn't give you trouble from which you could take delivery that would be a lot closer than Michigan.

I certainly don't want to put any excess miles on my ZL1 if I don't have to do so, but my ZL1 is going to be a weekend, good weather only car that won't see a lot of miles.
