Help from GM about status code problem - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I just spoke with my dealer and they entered six cars in the gm system. My dealer listed me as Priority # 1 and even attached a special note to have mine built before the other orders he entered. But as of today my status along with 1 other car is still 3000, 2 other cars are at 3300, and the last 2 are at 3400. I need someone to help explain why my order is behind all the others when I was entered as priority number 1. My contact at the dealership does not know why it is being done this way.

bribes, salesman a is better the salesman b, someone knows the owner, for the lot.....could be any reason...

Did you order the Hurst shifter?

The other orders might have been pulled before he changed your priority to "1". When did you order?

If your order didn't have any constraints ever on it then I think they might have bumped some people ahead of ya. I'm not sure a reason that would make your order stay in that status while others go farther on.

Do you know the order combos of the others in front of you? Maybe GM is putting "like" cars in line...

I don't think your dealer has any input AFTER any order passes 3000. It is the plant that decides after that, just be glad your at 3000.

Ah Ha, so that's how you guys do it.

JK My dealer told me that once he puts it in to 1100, then it's out of his control after that. Is this true?

Untrue, he/you can still make any changes you want until it's pulled.

Even if he mean that it's out of his control until GM pulls it...it is still in his control. He can choose whichever car he wants to fill whatever allocations they get. But if he prioritized them correctly and doesn't feel like messing with the constraints, then yeah he can just sit back and read the newspaper til the end of the year and his cars will eventually automatically get pulled and built. Course GM will skip over the constrained ones since they will fail Pass One (until the constraints are lifted).

untrue, mine was at 1100 and made a change and it went to 2051. if yu are at either of thse you can still make changes...Until the order is actually pulled. i think that is either 2500 or 3000

Any changes to vehicle order can be made up to 3000...Once @ 3000 your are done.....

So once 3000 your done no changes, ok i get that.

Now just wondering if it is also out of the dealers hands
as far as priority ratings, and the following status changes
that take place. Is that all automated by GM as cars get sequenced and
scheduled as below?

3100, Order available to sequence
3300, Order scheduled for production
3400, Order broadcast
3800, Order produced
4000, Available to ship
4150, Original invoice to the dealer
4200, Shipped by the plant
4800, Bayed with the carrier
5000, Delivered to the dealer

Been sitting @ 3000 for about 10 days Just want to make sure im just waiting for GM and not my dealer or dealers ordering MGr.
