gm performance
I noticed 2 yrs ago when people got ss's under the hood there was a gm performance emblem, I got my ss about week and half ago I didnt see one.

factory motor factory trans, Gpi ss4 cam stock heads ported and milled, full exhaust, circle d 5c 4000 triple disk, 3:91 rear end with posi mod, cai, bmr derlin rear diff bushins, bmr derlin cradle bushins, bmr trailing arms, toe rods with bushings, and bmr anti extreme sway bar. Weld rt-s 17x5 fronts and 17X10 rears on mickey thompson et street r's

Only the early 2010's have GM performance and chicklet badging. Stopped in August of '09 I believe.
An effeort to separate GM from Chevy during the bailout.

GM Performance Division (GMPD) went away for a while beginning in Feb. '09 during the "Time of the Unpleasantness" ,
http://www.leftlanenews.com/general-...-division.html but was back full force by last summer with a HUGE display at the Woodward Dream Cruise.    I'm pretty sure that the cars that are being built now, have the GM Performance Division Plaques on them. My V was built in Feb. '10 and it has the plaque under the hood. Best regards, Elie

my July '10 production car does NOT have the GM Performance Division tag. Chevy is probably saving that for the ZL1.
My Lowly SS is not a performance machine

My 2SS\RS had tags on the suspension parts showing 09-09-09. The car was delivered to me on Oct 4th of 2009 and has both the chicklets and the GM performance tag.

My dads camaro has tags from 9-8-09. It was built the 9th I believe. Has the performance badge.
