How to follow up my order in Canada - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I ordered my 2012 Camaro mid june. A long story but shortly, I ordered a 2011 but the dealer could not get me the car I wanted so he proposed a 2012 for the same price and I accepted.
I have a document from my dealer with 5 number for reference. This is different from what I saw on general forum for US order follow up (6 digits, letters and numbers combination)
I saw canadian people able to follow their order and they know for example when their car will be manufactured.

how are they doing ???

The wait is killing me....

Canadian orders are also 6 on Workbench. This number will also appear on the RPO code in the trunk when you get your car.

Dealers in CANADA can trace a car thru pre production and IF they give you the box car # you can track it by phone to the dealer.

I made some research and what my dealer did is use a tool called AUTOBOOK.
Looks like that tool is for pricing only.
Now I know canadian orders also use 6 digits, I will ask my dealer.

ask your salesperson to keep you updated as your car is built, they should be able to do that for you

If you have the correct no# you can call GM Canada, i did. GL i am sure you are going crazy with anticipation.

I went to my dealer and he gave me the 6 digits command reference and my order is 3000.

I found no tool however so I can directly check myself my order. I found web sites but only for our american friends... a bit disappointing...

Any dealer in CANADA (not all sales persons know) can get updates online whenever they want. When I picked our's up he gave me the inquiry history as a print out for my files.
