Cheapest butyl deadener Or??
Sorry to beat a topic that has been brought up so many times. but i have decided that with ordering new door and rear speakers. since im having to rip apart everything i may as well do it right haha.
Quick bit of info before hand, I live in Edmonton Alberta so it is not normally above 30 degree Celsius SO its time to deaden. now I know there is a pretty big difference between brands and types. with the asphalt matting being normally the cheapest, you have to worry about smell? is this as bad as people say? and with living in a cooler city do i have to worry? Or what is one of the cheapest Butyl Deadeners. I guess in the end i dont wanna bust the bank to bad. since im on a bit of a budget. but i would like to do my trunk, around the 6x9s and my doors im thinking i will need around 100sq/ft or what have you guys ended up needing |

look up hushmat I love the stuff works great and is rubber based and it works the best from what I can tell after installing just about every brand out there.

I purchased some Dynamat Xtreme on Amazon.com with free shipping for a great price. SecondSkin audio has Damplifier and Damplifier Pro for similar prices but the shipping will push the price above what Amazon can do with free shipping.
I'm not sure if the free shipping applies to Canada though. I have used both Dynamat Xtreme and Damplifier Pro with great results. I also had good luck with some firmer rubber/asphalt based sheets I purchased from McMaster Carr. It looked very similar to the original Dynamat product. I was a bit hard to work with and get into corners though. I have also used the foil backed asphalt sheets (Peel N Seal roofing sealer type stuff) and I wouldn't use that stuff again. It smells bad and IMO doesn't work as well as the butyl based stuff. I would pay the extra and get butyl based stuff. It isn't worth it to take the car apart and spend all that time only to not have it make much of a difference. You will wish you paid a little extra at that point. I have heard good things about RAAMmat and Sound Deadener Showdown's products as well.

I have been kind of looking at the original fatmat. And the b-quiet extreme (150 dollars for 100sq/ft). Or has anyone used edead?
Honestly biggest thing I'm worried about is smell but maybe this is over played how bad it is or it's people that live in really warm areas that this effects most Yeah doesn't look like I get free shipping froma amazon lol and amazon.ca is brutal |

I have been looking at raamat but it doesn't seem like I can order from there since I'm in Canada. Though the site may be glitchy since I only have my iPhone to search from.
Though is this a pretty decent deal http://item.mobileweb.ebay.ca/viewit...id=72034204930 |
