Help with Mustang Identification

More than being a Chevy guy, I'm a Ford Hater......Specifically the Mustang. So I'm not terribly familar with them and their trims, engine options, etc. There are what seems like HUNDRED of special editions and variations.

So my question is this.....When I'm rolling up on a Mustang, what is the best way for me to identify V6 vs V8, and anything else that should tip me off to it being a monster or a kitten. I must see 20 a day on the road and they all look alike.

You cannot be serious. Obviously a V8 has a GT badge and a V6 doesn't

And if you're coming up front, the GT will have its fog lights mounted in the upper grille while the V6 has its fog lights on the lower ends of the bumper cover.

Most are pretty easy to figure out... Pony emblem, GT, 5.0...

But if you run across this one like I did, point and laugh hysterically

So are all GT's 5.0 and are all 5.0's GT? In 2010 they didn't make a 5.0 right?

Just look in your review mirror then you'll know, but won't matter if V8 or V6 still be behind you

Not all GT's are 5.0's. 5.0 repalces the GT on the front fender but with both cars stock it will be close.

Get yourself a laptop mount it with a camera log on to the DMV website punch the plates # and voila there it is all the info you will ever need

Dual exhaust are v8 and single is the 6. The V6 models tend to have smaller sized rims and narrow tires.

Only the old iron block V6s have the single exhaust. The newer aluminium block V6s have dual exhausts, now. (So that people know that they're no where near as sh*tty as they used to be.)

The one on the right side of the road on the shoulder is a V6, he broke down in the slow lane. The one on the left side of the road on the shoulder is a 5.0/GT, he tried passing people and broke down.
