What deck to get ? - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Hey guys, proud owner of a 2010 Camaro SS 2. First off I am not much of a car guy when it comes to wrenching and audio ( more of a super sport motorcycle mechanic ) and just looking for some advice.

I am looking for a decent deck to put in, just not sure what decks are compatible with the factory deck. I have read on the forum here that the Metra Kit is good, but I haven't found a place to really buy it or check it out online other then youtube. Also, I hear Alpine has one ?, but I've never been able to track it down either.

Hopefully someone can shed some light on this, thanks and glad to join the club :-).

whats your price range? total including kit and radio.

I have the metra kit with a pioneer avh-p4300dvd and I love it

Well I'd spend into the $1K, but after looking at the metra, feeling I'd rather wait for this Alpine setup if it ever comes out.

If you are willing to wait - then the Alpine looks like it will be a nice option. I just didn't want to wait another 6 months... the metra kit works just fine with my Alpine 910. If and when the Alpine kit comes out I will buy and install.
