Accident - My fault this time...

It's been many years since I caused an accident. Tonight, I was driving home. I was about half a block from home, at a stop sign when this happened.

I was waiting at the stop sign on an east/west street. The north/south street was a through street. There was a car at the western stop sign that had gotten there before me, so I was waiting for her to go first. She had lots of opportunities, but was being very cautious. Finally, the north/south street cleared, and she still didn't go. I motioned for her to go, since she was there first...and finally she got the point and turned left onto the north/south street.

I looked right, then left, then right again. My mistake was pulling out before I looked right the second time. I didn't see anyone on the first look. When I looked the second time, the SUV was right there, and nothing I could do but get hit. Totally my fault.

Apparently, the SUV had just turned south onto the north/south street from the first driveway on the east side (a left turn), which was about 60-75 feet away, so I just didn't see anyone coming. Bad timing for me, but still my fault.

Here's the damage:

Dude I'm sorry to hear it, thankfully nobody got injured or hurt, look on the bright side you can add new accessories to the cars front.

OUCH....like everyone said, glad nobody was hurt. Cars can be fixed...

I have to give ya props... most people jump on the internet denying being at fault. Your one of the first cases that just admits making an honest mistake. Hope your car gets fixed good as new quickly for ya.
