starting to purchase mods
Bought my first couple MODs today!
Got the K&N cold air intake and the diablo predator tuner. next up borla atak cat back system Are there many benefits to buying some short headers? I am in CA so I am digging trying to find stuff to get HP out of this car. |

Solo cats may be a better mod but may not be Ca. OK.

Doug Thorlys have shown some increases but the bread and butter is in the cats in these cars.

even if your car has cleaner exhaust and better mileage then stock if it is modded they will ticket you and you will never pass smog... This state blows.. My cousin is moving to texas I might register my car at his place. |

Seriously, I have no experience with shorties, but nearly every post I have read says they are worthless; but, then, you get those that swear by them. Go figure. How long til you throw the warranty out the window and join the FI crowd

Shorties with the stock cats are your only truly legal option in CA. The atak will sound nice with the stock cats. If you have questions, do not hesitate to call us. Thanks!

Yes California sucks. Get long tubes. In 6 years when u need to smog throw on the stock manifolds. I'm a cop in the bay area and highly doubt you will get cited for having headers on your car. Long tubes make these cars sound great. Good luck with mods and enjoy em.

my car isnt even here yet and ive already got pedals, new carpets, sidemarkers, exhaust, skip shift, going to have badges painted and then planning to do an intake.
