Seat repair & cover up

Wont bore you with all the details just the current one.
Took my car in to have a seat cover installed.
Was told it would take an hour
2 1/2 hours later I asked what was going on and they said almost done.

Once I walked out to my car here is the first thing I see.
I was hopping mad. Not so much that they broke it.
I was really angry they tried to cover it up.

After I looked at my car I drug the service write up guy out to my car and basically said WTF. He acted surprised that this happened.
Really Now I know why it took 2 1/2 hour.

I told him I had to get back to work and was really disappointed.
While driving home I called my salesman and said I was really unhappy.
He said that he was sorry and would give me 3 oil changes. I said really do you guys think I would want you to service my car when you have employees who break something and then try to cover it up.

Now they have the new part on order. How hard is it to replace this thing. I almost don't want them touching my car again, and am thinking I can do this myself.

How to hug your camaro
Buy the car that you would most like to get beat in. The other guy will always be faster.

breaking it and then telling you they want to fix it (correctly) would show integrity.
what they did was shady. i would never go back.

The cover did not cost anything. Was a warranty issue. The plastic attachment on front of seat cover was broken so it kept coming loose. Had to go back two times for that issue. 2 times for them to determine that the seat cover was bad, a 3rd time to install it. Now a 4th time to fix the side panel. Hopefully they wont break anything else.

That is exactly what happened to my seat. I noticed mine after a car show. I think maybe when I was not looking some (insert ugly word) person got in my car & broke it somehow. I am going today to let the local dealer look at it to see what it will take to fix it. Here is a link to my thread with pics. Keep me posted. I will let you know what I am told today.

The side of the seat will break easily if you put all your weight on it. I broke mine too and am VERY careful now when I get out of the car. I won't sit on the hard plastic part or it's probably going to happen again. Just be careful and take it somewhere else from now on. Or, at least I would.

I would agree with most everyone here. After this last time in to your current dealer I would look for another dealer to do your work on the vehicle. Hopefully they get you all squared away and back on the road.

I had to have the seat covers replaced on mine for the exact same reason.
